Hey followers of DistancePreps.  My name is Carlos Miranda and I am entering my 

senior year at Palmetto Ridge high school in Naples, Florida.  I will be doing a blog 

every now and then to keep you all updated on my recent performances. Throughout

the last three years my experience at Palmetto Ridge has been great with a lot of 

support from my teachers and fellow students along the way such as in my studies 

and as an athlete.

My 2012 summer training was very exciting and crazy at the same time; its hard to 

think that I'm preparing myself for my last high school races. 

In preparing, my coach and I believe in more quality than quantity miles. Especially 

since during my last track season I got a heel spur in my right foot which kept me out 

of most of the season. 

I am happy to be healthy again and doing what I love most.
