2011 was another record setting year for videos on RunnerSpace. Over 20,000 videos were added to the site throughout the course of the year. That's over 54 videos a day! It's amazing that with the thousands of videos we were able to pick just an elite few. In addition to the sheer number of videos we also upgraded the video player to work on your smartphone mobile device.  You also may have noticed that we upgraded to HD to provide the ultimate viewing experience!

Usain Bolt's False Start at Worlds

It was expected to be the highlight race of the 2011 season. What the world got instead was the most talked about, contraversial video of the year not because of the finish but because of who....err false started.

Jillian Camerena-Williams AR Shot Put

Jiillan Camerena-Williams got the year off to a bang with an American record at USA Indoors as she captured the women's shot put.

Pre Classic 10k

The pre-race buzz was all about Christ Solinsky and Galen Rupp's expected duel. The two fastest Americans did not show but the magic of Hayward Field propelled Mo Farah to a European record 26:46 to win the deepest 10k on American soil.

Florida 4A State 4x4 Finish

The top two high school boys 4x400 relays in the US clashed for the final time of the year at the Florida state meet in early May. Captured by DistancePreps.com, Miami Northwestern and St. Thomas Aquinas did not disappoint. 

TrackTown 2011 by Matt Barnhart/RunnerSpace

Not only did our Matt Banhart put together a great recap but of the 2011 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships but he did it with a rhyme. With Matt's lyrics flowing, many of the USA's top track & field athletes joined with dancing, prancing and even a little rapping of their own.

Playin in Dirt

Three elite 800m guys training together and coaching themselves while living in the same apartment in the Valley in Southern California. Mark Wieczorek, Matt Scherer, and Tim Ramirez gave us a look at the fun side of being a professional athlete. Mark finished 5th at USA's and made the US Pan-Am team, Matt showed himself to be one of the best 800m rabbits of the year, and Tim ... Tim made all these videos fun to watch!

BorderClash Highlight by Ian Terpin

The event is the highlight of the season for many of Washington and Oregon's top cross country runners and this video filmed and edited by our very own Ian Terpin was our easy choice for top highlight video of the year.
