Vestavia Hills Mac Macoy commits to the Florida Gators

No Stranger to the Sunshine State, Vestavia Hills distance standout and multi-time Alabama State champion, Mac Macoy verbally committed to the Florida Gators uner the direction of Coaches Holloway and Spangler.  

Mac was the FSU Relays 3200M Champion earlier this spring during track season going 9:07 in a very elite field.

FSU Pre-State Invitational Post-Race 15:03

More recently, Mac finished 2nd at the FSU Pre-State Invitational behind Leon's Sukhi Khosla in 15:03 and was the Alabama State XC Champion. 

Mac joins a Gator distance squad that finished 2nd to Georgia in the NCAA D1 South Regional and 29th at Nationals.

This is the 2nd commitment for the Gator Men's distance squad as Niceville's Thomas Howell recently verballed as well.
